ISL-SEASON 5-MATCH-85-FC PUNE CITY VS DELHI DYNAMOS FC
Match 85 of Indian Super League 5, held on Feb 24 ,saw the FC Pune City play against Delhi Dynamos FC.
Delhi Dynamos extended their unbeaten run to six matches with a 3-1 win over Pune City at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Stadium in Pune. This defeat was Pune’s first loss under the new coach Brown. Delhi Dynamos FC had 59% possession than Pune City’s 41%.

FC Pune City won the toss and chose their side. Delhi started to play attacking style of play from the word go and kept the possession for a longer time than the hosts. In the 17th minute, Delhi took, the lead after Romeo delivered an inch-perfect cross to Chhangte inside the box and the latter blasted his shot into the net past the keeper. However, in the 23rd minute, the hosts scored an equalizer through Nikhil’s stunning strike. Sarthak played a pass to Nikhil and the latter went the past couple of defenders before firing a shot towards the target from outside the box, which beat the keeper and rolled into the back of the net. In the 30th minute, Romeo fired a shot from outside the box towards the target, which beat the keeper and went into the back of the net. In the 38th minute, Davila’s shot from the corner found Carmona in the box and the former received the ball from the latter before firing it towards the goal, but his shot went wide of the post. At the stroke of the half time Marcelo took the free kick and fired a shot towards the target, but the keeper saved his shot easily as it was straight towards him. Finally, Delhi went into the break with a 2-1 lead.

As the second half started in the next minute Hume played a lovely pass to Robin in the box, but the latter’s poor touch went straight into the hands of the keeper. In the 52nd minute, Delhi doubled their lead Gianni sent a pass to Davila in the box and the latter got his shot saved by the keeper, but the rebound ball fell into the path of Daniel and the latter calmly slotted the ball into the empty net. In the 72nd minute, Mihelic played a lovely ball to Davila inside the box and the latter fired a shot towards the far post, but his shot hit the post and went out of play. At the stroke of the end time, Marcelo was given away the marching orders after picking up his second yellow card of the night. Finally, Delhi won the game comfortably by 3-1 and extended their unbeaten run to six matches in this season.
