ISL-SEASON 5-MATCH-69-DELHI DYNAMOS FC VS FC GOA
Match 69 of Indian Super League 5, held on Feb 4 ,saw the Delhi Dynamos FC play against FC Goa.
FC Goa and Delhi Dynamos played out a goalless draw at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. This helped both the teams share the spoils from the game and there were no changes in the position of the teams in the table after this game. FC Goa had 59% possession than Delhi Dynamos 41%.
Delhi Dynamos FC won the toss and chose their side. Corominas received the ball from the middle and played it through to Boumous inside the box, but the latter’s shot ended up hitting the side net. A couple of minutes later Jahouh delivered a cross from a corner, which was eventually caught by the keeper on the bounce. Goa kept the majority of the possession with them, while Delhi kept losing the ball easily. In the 30th minute Gianni tried, his luck from a distance, but his shot went way above the crossbar. In the 36th minute Jackichand got the ball on the left and went for the glory, but his shot went just wide of the target. In the 41st minute, Corominas laid the ball to Lenny from outside the box and the latter fired a shot towards the target, but the keeper saved it easily as it was straight at the keeper. Finally, both the sides entered the break without breaking the deadlock.
Goa and Delhi played out a stalemate and picked up a point each
As the second half started in the 49th minute Brandon whipped in a free kick from a distance towards the far post, but his shot went just wide of the target. In the 59th minute, Corominas squared the ball from the byline, which was cleared away by a defender. However, the rebound ball fell into the path of Edu Bedia who fired a shot towards the target, but his shot went over the crossbar. A couple of minutes later Brandon passed a ball to Edu Bedia inside the box and the latter unleashed a shot towards the goal, but the Delhi Keeper made himself big to deny a goal. In the 73rd minute, Bikramjit tried to pass, the ball to his fellow teammate, but Jackichand intercepted it well and tried to chip it over the keeper, but the keeper collected it safely by stepping back. In the 82nd, minute Edu Bedia and Brandon played a couple of passes before the former side-footed towards the goal, but the keeper made a good save. At the stroke of the end time, Davila went for the glory himself from the byline, but Lenny cleared it away from the danger as it lacked enough power. Finally, both the sides played out a goalless draw.
