ISL-SEASON 5-MATCH-63-FC GOA VS JAMSHEDPUR FC
Match 63 of Indian Super League 5, held on Jan 28 ,saw the FC Goa play against Jamshedpur FC.
FC Goa and Jamshedpur FC played out an entertaining 0-0 draw at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa. Both the teams picked up a point each from the game and remained in the same position as they were at before the start of the fixture. FC Goa had 56% possession than Jamshedpur’s 445.
FC Goa won the toss and chose their side. As the game started, the home sides started to see more of the ball and did not allow the visitors to take away their possession easily. In the ninth minute, Jackichand’s cross was wrong-footed by Paul and the rebound ball found Brandon in the middle who then squared it to Edu Bedia. The latter headed it towards the target, but this time the keeper made a comfortable save in the end as the header lacked enough power. In the 25th minute Arques won a free kick and fired a shot towards the target, but his shot went just wide of the goal. Both the sides were playing the game in the midfield by creating fewer chances. At the stroke of the half time, Boumous from the left passed the ball to Mandar in the middle, but the latter’s shot towards the target went over the bar. Finally both the teams headed into the break without breaking the deadlock.

As the second half started in the 53rd minute Jackichand sent a superb cross to Corominas in the box, but the latter shot went wide of the target. In the 68th minute, Soosairaj from the left sent a cross, which found Cidoncha and the latter headed it towards the target, but the keeper easily saved his shot. A couple of minutes later Cidoncha played to Farukh behind the defense and the latter sent a delightful ball across the goal where Arques came to end of it, but his shot went over the bar. In the 84th minute, Mandar passed the ball to Corominas and the latter went past the Jamshedpur’s defense before firing a shot towards the target, but Subrata made a superb save by diving full to his left. At the stroke of the end time, Corominas from outside the box passed the ball to the right which found Manvir Singh and the latter sent a low cross which found Brandon’s foot and fired a shot towards the goal, but the keeper made an incredible save. Finally, both the teams settled for a draw after an entreating game.
