MATCH-131-JAIPUR PINK PANTHERS VS BENGALURU BULLS

Match 131 of Pro Kabaddi League season 6, held on Dec 27, saw the Jaipur Pink Panthers play against Bengaluru Bulls.

Pawan Sehrawat’s super 10 inspired Bulls to overcome Jaipur by 40-32 at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium at Kolkata. This win consolidated the top spot for the Bulls in Zone B and Pawan top scored in the game with 16 raid points while Deepak top-scored for Jaipur with 13 raid points.

Bulls entered the break with a slender lead of 3 points

Deepak Hooda and Pawan started the proceedings of the game with a successful raid. In the initial minutes, both the sides exchanged the points between them and kept the score ticking. However, Pawan’s three points in two raids, which included a two-point raid, reduced Jaipur to two men on the court. In the next minute, Pawan got a touch on a substitute to reduce Jaipur to a solitary player on the mat. In the 16th minute, Bulls inflicted an all-out on Jaipur with Sheoran’s tackle on Hooda to take a 17-14 lead. Post the all-out both the sides added two more points to their tally before the break. Finally, the Bulls entered the break with a 19-16 lead.

Bulls ended their league stage as table toppers from Zone B.

As the second half started, Pawan added a bonus point to his tally before both sides started to play only during the do-or-die raids. Successful tackles from Sheoran and Ashish on Amit and Deepak gave Bulls a 5-point lead before Rohit’s terrific 3-point super raid gave them a 25-17 lead. However, Jaipur reduced the deficit to five points with Selvamani’s successful raid followed up by Sandeep’s super tackle on Rohit Kumar. A tackle on Pawan followed up by Deepak’s successful raid reduced Jaipur’s deficit to three points. A couple of two-point raids from Pawan increased Bulls lead to 32-24. Rohit’s successful raid reduce Jaipur to one man on the mat. In the 36th minute, Bulls inflicted another all-out on Jaipur with Selvamani’s unsuccessful raid to take a 36-26 lead. Post the all-out both Pawan and Deepak picked up three consecutive raid points. Lokesh and Ashish tackled Pawan and Deepak in the last minute of the game. The last point of the game went to Jaipur after Amit’s dash on Rohit as Bulls won the game by 40-32 and finished the league stage as table toppers from Zone B.
