Match 55 of Indian Super League 5, held on Dec 12 ,saw the Jamshedpur FC play against Delhi Dynamos FC.

Jamshedpur edged Delhi Dynamos by 2-1 at the JRD Sports Complex in Jamshedpur. This win helped Jamshedpur move to the fourth spot while Delhi remained at the bottom of the table without winning even a single game in this season. Delhi Dynamos had 54% possession than Jamshedpur’s 46%.

Jamshedpur FC won the toss and chose their side. The away team as soon as the game nearly took the lead through Carmona’s long ranger, which beat the keeper, but ended up hitting the crossbar. In the seventh minute Tebar, played Chhangte through on goal and the latter had a shy at goal, but to the host’s fortune it was off target. In the 14th minute, Delhi suffered a huge blow as Carmona went off the field to a Groin injury. In the 24th minute, the away team took the lead through Chhangte who scored his fourth goal of this season. Mihelic squared the ball into the box, which took a deflection of Arques and found Chhangte at the far post and the latter fired his shot towards the bottom corner to give his side a 1-0 lead. After 5 minutes, Jamshedpur scored an equalizer through Tim Cahill’s stunning header from Calvo’s cross. In the 38th minute, Mihelic sent a superb cross inside the box which found Kaludjerovic, but the latter miscued the pass and wasted a good chance for the away team to take a lead. Finally, both the sides entered the break deadlocked at 1-1 scoreline.

Jamshedpur edge Delhi in a close game

As the second half started in the 55th minute Crespi pounced on to an attempted clearance from Pratik and the former fired a shot towards the target, but his shot went wide of the post. In the 61st minute, the home team took the lead through Farukh’s stunning shot. A shot from the corner took a deflection of Tebar and found Farukh at the edge of the box and the latter unleashed a shot towards the goal which found the back of the net to give his team a 2-1 lead. In the 70th minute, Delhi was denied a penalty after Robin’s handball inside the box. In the 85th minute Kaludjerovic tried, his luck from the far post, but Subrata parried it away from the danger. In the stoppage time, Mobashir swung a ball from the right, which found the head of Sumeet Passi, but the latter’s header went wide of the post. In the end, Jamshedpur held Delhi by 2-1 in a thrilling game and moved to the fourth spot in the table.
