Pro Kabaddi League – Season 6 – MATCH-97-DABANG DELHI VS BENGALURU BULLS
Match 97 of Pro Kabaddi League season 6, held on Dec 5, saw the Dabang Delhi play against Bengaluru Bulls.
Dabang Delhi edge Bengaluru Bulls by 32-31, despite their late surge at Thyagaraj Sports Complex in Delhi. This win helped Delhi to tighten their grip over final spot in Zone A and Rohit Kumar top scored in the game with 12 raid points. Meraj and Ranjit scored seven raid points each for the home team.
An Entertaining Half
Meraj and Pawan started the proceedings of the game with a successful raid. In the fourth minute, the hosts took a 5-1, lead on courtesy of Ranjit’s two successive raids followed up by Naveen’s touch split by a tackle point on Pawan. Meraj and Naveen’s touch point in subsequent raids reduced Bulls to a single player on the mat. In the seventh minute, Delhi inflicted an all-out on Bulls with Pahal’s tackle on Ashish and took a 10-3 lead. After reassembling to the mat, Bulls gathered a momentum and reduced the deficit to four points on courtesy of Rohit’s two raid points followed up by a tackle on Naveen Kumar. However, Delhi increased their lead back to seven points on courtesy of Ranjit’s two raid points split by Anil’s ankle hold on Rohit Kumar. Pawan scored two quick raid points split by a successful tackle on Naveen, which reduced the deficit to three points. The half ended with Ranjit’s touch on Amit and Delhi entered the break with a 14-10 lead.
Delhi edge Bulls to win their 4th game at home
As the second half started, the Bulls reduced the hosts to three players on the mat with Pawan’s touch on Satpal. However, Ranjit super tackle on Pawan increased their lead to five points. Meraj and Naveen touch point followed up by three tackle points from Pahal and Satpal reduced Bulls to three men on the mat. In the 28th minute, Meraj managed to get a touch of all the players in the mat with a super raid and inflicted an all-out to give his side a 26-14 lead. Rohit scored six raid points in four raids, which included two 2-point raids and reduced Bulls deficit to seven points. In the 35th minute, Delhi took a 31-22, lead after Ranjit’s two-point raid. However, Rohit kept the scorecard ticking as he picked up another two-point raid, but unfortunately, he was tackled by Satpal in the next raid. Bulls reduced the deficit to two points with seconds left in the game on courtesy of Pawan’s three quick raid points backed by Raju’s tackle on Naveen. In the last raid, Meraj ran down the clock and gave a point to Bulls as Delhi held Bulls to claim a win by 32-31.
