Match 45 of Indian Super League 5, held on Dec 1 ,saw the Jamshedpur FC  play against North East United FC. Jamshedpur and North East played out a goalless draw at JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur. Both the teams picked up a point from the game and North East moved to the second spot in the table, on the other hand, Jamshedpur remained at the fourth spot. Jamshedpur FC had 52% possession than North East’s 48%.

A Frustrating Half

Jamshedpur FC won the toss and chose their side. Both the sides started the game on a good note as they both had an equal possession between them. In the 10th minute, the hosts got their first chance after Memo sent a long pass, which found Morgado, and the latter fired a shot which went just wide of the post. A couple of minutes later Ogbeche whipped in a cross in the box, which found Borges, and the latter fired a shot, but his shot went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute Arques pounced on to a loose clearance and tried, his luck from a distance, but his shot went over the crossbar. After the half-hour mark, Ogbeche received a ball 25 yards out and the latter took a touch before firing the shot, which went over the upright in the end. The hosts dominated the possession and kept the visitors chasing the ball, but the hosts lacked in the final pass. Finally, both the sides entered the break without breaking the deadlock.

Both the sides shared the spoils

As the second half started both the sides went for long range shot and both the sides lacked their final pass inside the box. In the 70th minute, Farukh sent a pass to Rahman at the edge of the box who took a touch and fired a shot towards the target, but the ball went just over the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Ogbeche skipped a couple of defenders and had, a clear shot to score a goal, but instead sent a pass to Gallego. However, Jamshedpur’s defenders came to the rescue by clearing the ball away from danger. In the last minute of the game, Nikhil sent a ball in the box which found Ogbeche and the latter tried to slot the ball into the bottom right corner, but Jairu was alert enough to clear the ball away from danger. Finally, both the sides settled for a goalless draw.
