Pro Kabaddi League – Season 6 – MATCH-88-BENGALURU BULLS VS BENGAL WARRIORS
Match 88 of Pro Kabaddi League season 6, held on Nov 29, saw the Bengal warriors play against Bengaluru Bulls.
A splendid comeback in the second half gave Bengal Warriors a 44-37 win over Bulls at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune. Maninder Singh top scored in the game with 17 raid points.
Bulls entered the break with a 7-point lead
Maninder Singh and Rohit Kumar started the proceedings of the game with a successful raid. Bulls soon raced to a 6-2 lead on courtesy of their defenders and Rohit Kumar. In the sixth minute, Bulls inflicted an all-out on Bengal and took a 10-2 lead with Rohit’s successful raid. Bengal tried hard and reduced the deficit to seven points on courtesy of Ramesh’s two-point raid followed up by Mahesh successive two raid points and Surjeet’s tackle on Pawan. Ran Singh and Harish scored the last point for their respective teams in the half. Bulls entered the break with a 19-12 lead.
A splendid comeback in 2nd half gave Bengal a win over Bulls
As the second half started, Harish and Maninder picked up the first point of the half. In the next minute, Bengal inflicted an all-out on Bulls with Ran Singh tackle on Harish and reduced the deficit to five points. Bengal leveled the scores at 21 points each on courtesy of Maninder and Ramesh two-point raids respectively. In the 25th minute, Bengal inflicted another all-out on Bulls with Sumit’s unsuccessful raid and took a 27-24 lead. After reassembling to the mat, Bengal increased their lead to five points with Maninder’s two-point raid and completed his super 10 in the process. In the 30th minute, Maninder picked up a three-point super raid and reduced Bulls to two players on the court. In the next minute, Bengal inflicted third all-out on Bulls with Maninder’s two-point raid and took a 38-28 lead. After reassembling to the mat both the sides added five points each to their tally and Bengal led Bulls by 44-34 with two minutes left in the game. Bulls added two quick points to their score on courtesy of Rohit and Pawan. Bulls picked up the last point of the game with Maninder’s empty raid in the do-or-die raid. This allowed the Bulls to pick up a point from the game.
