Pro Kabaddi League – Season 6 – MATCH-49-UP YODDHA VS BENGAL WARRIORS
Match 49 of Pro Kabaddi League season 6, held on Nov 4, saw the Bengal Warriors play against UP Yoddha.
Yoddha and Bengal warriors once again played out an entertaining 30-30 draw at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Complex in Noida. Maninder Singh top scored in the game with 14 raid points.
An entertaining half
Maninder Singh and Sachin Kumar started the proceedings of the game with an empty raid. Lee and Rishank picked up the first points for their teams with a successful raid. Yoddha raced to an early 4-2 lead with Rishank’s two-point raid. However, in the sixth minute, Bengal leveled the scores at four points each on courtesy of Maninder’s successful raid followed up by Mahesh tackle on Jadhav. Both the sides from then on played cautiously and exchanged points between them on regular basis. The half ended with Surjeet’s tackle on Rishank and Bengal entered the break with a 12-11 lead.
Both the teams shared the spoils after a dramatic finish
As the second half started, Yoddha took the lead with Azad’s two-point raid. In the 25th minute Azad’s successful raid followed up by Nitesh tackle on Lee reduced Bengal to two men on the court. In the 28th minute, Yoddha inflicted an all-out on Warriors with Maninder unsuccessful raid and took a 21-17 lead. In the 33rd minute, Maninder leveled the scores with a super raid and reduced the hosts to two men on the court. In the 35th minute, Bengal inflicted an all-out on Yoddha with Maninder’s two-point raid and took a 28-26 lead. Yoddha leveled the scores with Rishank’s two-point raid. In the 38th minute Yoddha took, a point lead with Jeeva’s tackle on Maninder, but Bengal leveled the scores with Lee’s bonus touch. Bengal took the lead again with Adarsh tackle on Rishank, but to Bengal’s misfortune, Yoddha leveled the scores with Lee’s self-out. In the last raid of the game Surjeet went for the raid and started celebrating after taking a toe-touch, but Yoddha’s review suggested that he did not get a touch and both the sides settled for a draw once again in this season.
