Match 43 of Pro Kabaddi League season 6, held on Nov 1, saw the Patna Pirates play against Bengal Warriors.

Patna Pirates finished their home leg with a 29-27 victory over Bengal Warriors at Patliputra Indoor Stadium in Patna. Stand in captain Jaideep picked up a high five ably supported by Deepak who scored seven raid points.

Patna entered the break with a slender lead of 3 points

Deepak Narwal started the proceedings of the game with an empty raid. Lee picked the first point of the game with a successful raid. Bengal raced to an early 4-0 lead on courtesy of good offense and defense. In the fourth minute, Tushar picked the first point for the hosts with a successful raid. Patna took the lead in the ninth minute by scoring four straight points. Patna inflicted an all-out on Warriors in the 10th minute and took a 9-7 lead with Ran Singh’s unsuccessful raid. After reassembling to the mat, the team started exchanging the points and both the sides started to play only during the do-or-die raids. In the 16th minute, Bengal reduced the deficit to just one point with Amit’s ankle hold on Deepak Narwal. Patna entered into the break with a slender lead of three points.

Patna ended their home leg with a win

As the second half started both teams played only during do-or-die raids and reduced the pace of the game. Bengal Warriors forged a comeback into the game, but Patna kept chipping with quick points and kept the lead intact. In the 32nd minute, Bengal reduced the deficit to two points with Surjeet’s block on Manjeet. In the 35th minute, Deepak and Jaideep helped Patna to take a four-point lead. Mahesh Goud’s two successful raids helped him to reduce the deficit by one point in the 37th minute. Bengal leveled the scores at 25 points each after Vikas stepped out of the mat. Deepak’s two successful raids helped Patna to regain the lead, however, Kuldeep’s tackle on Mahesh ended Bengal hopes of winning the game. Finally, Patna won the game by 29-27 and ended their four matches losing streak.
