Pro Kabaddi League – Season 6 – MATCH-42-PATNA PIRATES VS BENGALURU BULLS
Match 42 of Pro Kabaddi League season 6, held on Oct 31, saw the Patna Pirates play against Bengaluru Bulls.
Bengaluru Bulls clinched a thrilling 43-41 win over Patna in the last raid of the match at the Patliputra Indoor Stadium in Patna. This was Patna’s fourth successive defeat at home, on the other hand, Bulls reached the top spot in Zone B.
An Entertaining half
Pardeep Narwal and Rohit Kumar started the proceedings of the game with a successful raid. Bulls raced to an early 4-2 lead over the host on courtesy of Pawan’s two-point raid. However, Patna fought back and took the lead in the fifth minute by scoring three straight raid points. Bulls raced to a 9-6 lead with Mahender’s tackle on Pardeep and reduced Patna to three men on the court. Patna reduced the deficit to just one point with a superb tackle on Rohit in the next raid. Patna increased their lead to 12-9 by scoring four straight points on courtesy of Deepak and Manjeet. However, Bulls leveled the scores back to 12 points each with a super tackle on Pardeep. Bulls further increased their lead to 15-12 with another super tackle by Adake on Deepak. In the 16th minute, Patna inflicted an all-out on Bulls with Sumit’s unsuccessful raid and took an 18-17 lead. The half ended with Pardeep’s successful raid and Patna entered the break with a 21-18 lead.

As the second, half started both the sides exchanged points between them and the hosts maintained their three-point lead intact until the 24th minute. Rohit’s super raid in the next minute restored the parity once again between both the sides. Bulls inflicted an all-out on Patna in the 28th minute on courtesy of Pawan’s brilliant super raid and took Bulls lead to 32-26. Bulls kept the momentum by scoring points regularly, but Manjeet’s super raid in the 32nd minute forged a comeback for the hosts. In the 24th minute, Patna inflicted an all-out on Bulls with Manjeet’s successful raid and leveled the scores at 36 points each. After reassembling to the mat Bulls took the lead on courtesy of Pawan’s another super raid. However, Patna leveled the scores at 41 points each with a minute left in the game on courtesy of Ravinder’s super tackle on Pawan followed up by Kuldeep’s tackle on Adake. Manjeet went for the penultimate raid of the game, which was a do-or-die raid, but he was tackled off the mat and gave them one point lead. Pawan went for the last raid of the game, which also turned out to be a do-or-die raid, but he kept calm, took a touch point on Kuldeep, and sealed the game for Bengaluru Bulls.
