Match 38 of Pro Kabaddi League season 6, held on Oct 28, saw the Patna Pirates play against Haryana Steelers.

Haryana pulled off a 43-32 victory over Patna at the Patliputra Indoor Stadium in Patna. Vikas and Naveen top scored for their team with 10 raid points ably supported by Kuldeep who picked up a High five.

Haryana entered the break with a slight edge over Patna

Pardeep Narwal and Naveen started the proceedings of the game with a successful raid. Pardeep also became the second player to complete 700 raid points in PKL. Pardeep picked up the first five points for his team, on the other hand, Naveen helped his team to be on parity with the hosts with his bonus touches. In the eight minutes, Haryana was reduced to three men on the court with Pardeep’s successful raid. However, Kuldeep’s super tackle on Pardeep helped his team to take a one-point lead. They further increased their lead with another super tackle on Manjeet, followed up by Vikas two-point raid. However, Patna forged a comeback in the last five minutes of the half and reduced the deficit to just two points with Naveen’s unsuccessful raid, which also reduced Haryana to two men on the court. Finally, Haryana went into the break with a 17-15 lead.

Haryana pulled off a stunning win

As the second half started, Kuldeep’s super tackle on Pardeep increased their lead to five points. Vikas and Sachin combined reduced Patna to two men on the court. Haryana inflicted an all-out on Patna in the 28th minute with Vikas two-point raid and increased their lead to 28-20. After Patna reassembled to the mat, Naveen pulled off a stunning three-point raid and increased his team to 31-21 lead. Naveen then successfully tackled Manjeet off the mat, followed up by a two-point raid, which reduced Patna to two men on the court. Haryana inflicted another all-out on Patna in the 33rd minute with Vikas successful raid with the scoreline reading 38-23 in favor of Haryana. From then on Haryana killed time on their raid and their raiders kept the scorecard ticking, on the other hand, their defenders did not give more than a point to Patna’s raiders. In the end, Haryana won the game comfortably by 43-32, which was their third victory of this season.
