Pro Kabaddi League – Season 6 – MATCH-37-DABANG DELHI VS UP YODDHA
Match 37 of Pro Kabaddi League season 6, held on Oct 28, saw the UP Yoddha play against Dabang Delhi.
Shrikant and Prashanth helped Yoddha with a 38-36 win over Delhi at the Patliputra Indoor Stadium in Patna. The match saw four super 10s being scored and Yoddha won the game in the last minute of the game.
Yoddha entered the break with a 25-17 lead
Naveen Kumar and Prashanth started the proceedings of the game with a successful raid. Both the sides exchanged points between them and was tied at eight points each in the ninth minute. Ranjit’s back-to-back successful raid helped Delhi to take a two-point lead. However, in the 12th minute, Yoddha inflicted an all-out on Delhi with Prashanth’s two-point raid and took his team to a 14-12 lead. Jadhav’s brilliant super raid in the 15th minute reduced Delhi to a single player on the mat. In the next minute, Yoddha inflicted another all-out on Delhi with Rajesh Narwal’s unsuccessful raid and took a 25-16 lead. Naveen ended the half with a successful raid and Yoddha entered the break with a 25-17 lead.
Yoddha secures a close win over Delhi
As the second half started, Prashanth started the proceedings of the half with an unsuccessful raid. In the 22nd minute, Delhi reduced Yoddha to two players on the court and reduced the deficit to five points. However, Yoddha increased their lead to eight points with Sachin’s super tackle on Ranjit followed up by Nitesh’s super tackle on Naveen. In the 29th minute, Delhi inflicted an all-out on Yoddha with Prashanth’s unsuccessful raid and reduced the deficit to four points. Naveen completed his super 10 with a bonus touch and leveled the scores at 31 points each in the 30th minute. Yoddha took a one-point lead with Prashanth’s touch on Vishal and completed his super 10 in the process. Ranjit completed his super 10 in the 35th minute, followed up by Shrikant’s super 10 in the next raid. This was the first time in this season a match witnessed four super 10s. In the last minute of the game, Jadhav got rid of Pahal and Joginder, which helped his team to take a two-point lead. Finally, Yoddha pulled off a hard-fought win and moved to the top spot in Zone B with this win.
