Pro Kabaddi League – Season 6 – MATCH-32-PUNERI PALTAN VS UP YODDHA

Match 32 of Pro Kabaddi League season 6, held on Oct 24, saw the UP Yoddha play against Puneri Paltan.

The trio of Shrikant, Prashanth, and Rishank helped Yoddha to prevail over Paltan by 29-23 at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune.

Yoddha lead Paltan at the half time by 16-12

Nitin Tomar started the proceedings of the game with an empty raid. Monu picked up the first points for the hosts with a two-point raid. Both the sides’ defense was quite as the raiders had a good half by chipping on some quick points. In the eighth minute, Yoddha raced to an 8-4, lead with Prashanth’s two-point raid. However, Monu brought down the deficit to just one point with a two-point raid in the 12th minute. Monu ensured his team is on the game by picking up points on a regular basis as they were trailing Yoddha by 11-12. Then on Yoddha scored four straight points and extended their lead to five points. Nitin picked up the last point of the half with a successful touch on Sachin. Finally, Yoddha went into the break with a 16-12 lead.

As the second half started, Tomar started the half with an empty raid, followed up by Rishank’s successful raid. In the 28th minute Paltan reduced the deficit to just two points and in the process, they sent Prashanth and Jadhav to the bench and reduced Yoddha to three men on the court. However, Yoddha increased their lead to 23-18 with back-to-back super tackles on Monu and Tomar in the 32nd minute. Paltan forged a comeback by picking up three straight points, but Yoddha responded superbly in counter-attacking them, as Rai was brilliant with his bonus touches. Finally, Yoddha defeated Paltan by 29-23 and Paltan finished their home leg with a loss.
