SEMIFINAL 1 -1st Leg of Indian Super League 4, held on Mar 7 ,saw the Bengaluru FC play against FC Pune City.

FC Pune City and Bengaluru FC played out a goalless draw at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Pune.FC Pune City had 52% possession than Bengaluru’s 48%.

FC Pune City won the toss and chose their side. In the 4th minute, Panwar played a superb long ball from the right which found Kuruniyan, but his touch took the ball away from him and the keeper collected it safely. In the 19th minute, Marcelinho laid a ball to Stankovic from a free-kick who fired a shot after taking a touch, but his shot went wide of the far post. In the 31st minute, Sunil’s shot from a free-kick curled towards the target, but the keeper made a good save with his right hand to deny a goal for them. In the 38th minute, Kuruniyan won the ball in midfield where he cuts in and fired a shot, but his shot was over the crossbar. Finally, both the sides went into the break goalless.

As the second half started in the 51st minute Dimas’s shot from a corner found Haokip who headed it into the middle of the box. Sunil and Juanan were in a good position to head the ball into the empty net, but of them came in their way and wasted a good opportunity. In the 68th minute, Marcelo’s shot from a free-kick was punched away easily by Gurpreet at the near post. However, the rebound ball fell into the path of Panwar, but his shot went wide of the target. After 7 minutes Marcelo squared the ball in the middle which found Issac and had an empty net in front of him, but he missed the kick due to his poor judgmental couple of minutes later Bose tried his luck from outside the box towards the target, but his shot went straight into the hands of Kaith who collected it safely. Finally, the first leg of semifinal ended in a goalless draw.
