Match 87 of Indian Super League 4, held on Mar 2, saw the Delhi Dynamos FC play against FC Pune City .

Delhi Dynamos drew with FC Pune City by 2-2 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. Uche initially gave the hosts lead twice, but Alfaro goal from the spot twice ensured a point for each at the end of the game. Delhi Dynamos had 57% possession than Pune’s 43%.

Delhi went into the break with a 1 goal advantage

FC Pune City won the toss and chose their side. The hosts started to attack from the word go, to which they were awarded a penalty in the 9th minute when Kuruniyan drew a foul on Chhangte inside the box. Kalu Uche took the spot kick and didn’t do any mistake as he calmly slotted the ball into the top left corner to give his team a 1-0 lead. A couple of minutes later Pune was awarded a penalty after Simranjeet drew a foul on Lopez inside the box. Alfaro scored the equalizer from the spot where he drilled a low shot towards the Keeper’s right. In the 27th minute, Mirabaje squared the ball towards Uche and he laid it off with his chest to Arana outside the box. His first-time shot found the back of the net, but the officials disallowed the goal after they found that Uche won the ball with his hand instead of chest. In the 34th minute, Delhi regained their lead after Lopez’s clearance found Sekar inside the box where the keeper was in front of him and he passed the ball to Uche who had an empty goal at his mercy. He easily tapped into the back of the net to give his team a 2-1 lead. In the 42nd minute, Sekar passed a superb ball to Simranjeet who fired a shot from outside the box, but his shot, unfortunately, hit the woodwork. Finally, Delhi went into the beak with a 1 goal advantage.

Both the teams shared the spoils from the game

As the second half started in the 57th minute Arana squared the ball from the right to Chhangte in the middle. He met the ball with his head, but his header was straight into the hands of the keeper. In the 63rd minute Kuruniyan passed a lovely through ball to Stankovic and unleashed a shot towards the target, but his shot was saved by the keeper. However, the rebound ball fell into the path of Alfaro, but his shot was comfortably blocked by Simranjeet Singh. In the 70th minute, Mirabaje gave a perfect pass to Sekar at the edge of the box who fired a low shot towards the target, but his shot went wide of the post by inches. In the 84th minute, Pune won a penalty after Dhot drew a foul on Alfaro inside the box. Alfaro stepped up for the spot-kick and scored an equalizer by firing a low shot towards the keeper’s right which found the back of the net. Finally, both the teams shared a point from the game and Delhi finish their season on a good note and extended their unbeaten streak to 6 matches.
