Match 86 of Indian Super League 4, held on Mar 1 ,saw the Bengaluru FC play against Kerala Blasters FC .

Bengaluru FC defeated Kerala Blasters at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. Miku and Udanta scored a goal each in the injury time and grabbed all 3 points from the game. Bengaluru Fc had 56% possession than Kerala’s 44%.

Goalless half

Kerala Blasters FC won the toss and chose their side. Bengaluru started the game positively and kept the possession and made the visitors toil around the park. In the 11th minute, Chhetri after taking the ball from Nishu Kumar fired a shot from 30 yards outside towards the goal, but his shot went just wide of the post. A couple of minutes later Jackichand dribbled near the byline and squared the ball to Vineeth and he had an entire post at his mercy, but he failed to connect the ball. In the 22nd minute, Haokip cut from the halfway which found Nishu Kumar on the left who fired a shot from inside the box, but his shot went wide of the target. In the 45th minute, Sunil played Nishu through inside the box and he was on one to one with the keeper, but the keeper charged out of his line to stop Nishu Kumar. Finally, both the sides went into the break goalless.

Bengaluru secure record tally of 40 points in a single season

As the second half started in the 62nd minute Dovale cuts in from the left and played Sunil through, but his first-time shot went wide of the post. In the 75th minute, Dovale sent a superb cross from the left to Udanta, but his header went just wide of the post. At the stroke of the half-time Miku ran forward and fired a shot towards the far post with enough power, but he missed his target by inches. In the injury time, Bengaluru finally broke the deadlock after Segovia played a superb ball to Miku and the latter fired a low shot which found the bottom corner of the far side to give his team a 1-0 lead. A couple of minutes later the hosts doubled their lead after Delgado played a ball to Udanta on the right who then cuts inside and fired a low shot past the keeper at the far post. Finally, Bengaluru won the game by 2-0 and became the first team to secure 40 points in a single season.
