ISL-SEASON 4-MATCH-53-JAMSHEDPUR FC VS DELHI DYNAMOS FC
Match 53 of Indian Super League 4, held on Jan 21 ,saw the Jamshedpur FC play against Delhi Dynamos FC.
Jamshedpur came from being 2 goals down to defeat Delhi Dynamos by 3-2 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur. Kālu’s struck twice in the first half to give his team a 2-0 lead, but Jamshedpur responded to it with goals from Tiri, Yumnam, and Trindade to win the game. Delhi had 54% possession than Jamshedpur’s 46%.
Delhi headed into the break with a 2-1 lead
Jamshedpur won the toss and chose their side. Both the teams started off the game by playing passes among them and was waiting for an opportunity. In the 11th minute, Gabriel Cichero’s cross was punched away by Paul as it lacked power, but the rebound ball fell into the feet of Nandhakumar. But his shot was well blocked by Tiri.
In the 20th minute, Delhi got the breakthrough on courtesy of Uche’s brilliant header. Nandhakumar received the ball and sent a cross in the middle which found Uche. He then headed the ball into the back of the net. In the next 2 minutes, Delhi doubled their lead with the same combination of Sekar and Kalu Uche. Nandhakumar played a brilliant cross found the head of Uche in the middle, who then headed it past the keeper with power and gave his team 2-0 lead. In the 29th minute, Jamshedpur pulled on back on courtesy of Tiri. A corner from Jerry fell straight to Tiri inside the box and he headed it past the keeper by leaping over Pritam Kotal.
In the 35th minute, Vinit played a long ball to Chhangte who then chested it and got the better of Bikey. He had only the keeper to beat, but his shot went over the crossbar. Finally, Delhi went into the break with a 2-1 lead.
Jamshedpur pulled off a sensational comeback to edge Delhi
As the second half started, Andre Bikey’s long free-kick found Tiri in the box who then put Ashim Biswas through a goal. But his header went over the crossbar due to the pressure created by Vinit. In the 54th minute, Jamshedpur scored an equalizer. Jerry’s corner from the left was cleared by a defender of Delhi and the clearance fell into the feet of Raju. He then curled the ball past the keeper into the top right corner at the near post.
In the 73rd minute, Raju slides the ball to Azuka in the center, but his shot was well blocked by Cichero.2 minutes later Trindade took a shot from outside the box, but it was comfortably blocked by Vinit which went over his arm.
In the 86th minute Jamshedpur took the lead after Wellington Priori played a deft pass to Trindade whose first-time shot went in between the legs of Pratik and past the keeper to give his team 3-2 lead. Finally, Jamshedpur pulled off a sensational win and defeated Delhi by 3-2.
